Postpartum Care
Having a baby can be an overwhelming experience, but your healing does not have to be. Starting your Motherhood Transition Postpartum phase with the right body mechanics is essential to setting you up for the best success to recovery. In this phase, we work on posture, core, pelvic floor and any other symptoms which might arise after baby comes. And remember, postpartum does not end at your 6 week follow up; it’s forever.
Breastfeeding Care
Breastfeeding can be a new challenging for both mom and baby. During your breastfeeding journey, you might experience clogged ducts or mastitis; which can cause a cascade of pain. We at enCORE Therapy have a special therapeutic ultrasound protocol to help with these clogged ducts and get you back to pain free breastfeeding.
C-Section Scar Care Package
Don’t love your c-section scar? Let us help! At enCORE, we have created a package to help your scar heal better. Cupping, dry needling, and Graston tools are effective modalities for addressing scar tissue and promoting optimal healing. These techniques work by improving local blood flow, reducing adhesions, and enhancing tissue mobility. Research suggests that mechanical stimulation of scar tissue can help break down collagen crosslinks, which minimizes stiffness and improves pliability. These methods may also reduce aesthetic abnormalities by promoting even tissue remodeling during the healing process. By addressing both functional and cosmetic concerns, these therapies support more complete recovery.
We’ve been there. Let us help you.
As a pelvic floor & women’s health specialist who is mom of 2, I know all about the ins and outs of healing. My postpartum healing journey was anything but easy. My vulva ached for weeks, my breastfeeding journey was painful, and I worsened my prolapse at 6 weeks postpartum doing 2 mile hill walks on my treadmill. Oh did I mention, I am also a Type A, overachieving Triathlete? Yeah - I know a thing or 2 about what’s normal, not normal, & overdoing it.
