Postpartum Bounce Back Culture

Before baby #2 came, I had the honor of doing a guest post with Postpartum University, an amazing digital resource for all things postpartum healing. In this article I talked about the Toxic Bounce Back Culture and how it can be very harmful to moms in their 4th trimester.

I am currently in the helms of my 4th trimester. And even though it’s better than my first go round, I still feel the pressure of social media to over preform. On Instagram, I am seeing posts which make me feel inferior to other moms; whether it be because of milk production, exercise, sleep, or anything else.

It shouldn’t be this way. There shouldn’t be pressure. There shouldn’t be a bounce back culture, but there is.
